Scarves can be so much fun! A great way to spruce up a plain old something .. add a little pizazzzzz
Different sized scarves would work best for different applications, so for expample
A small square will be best to use around your neck, on a hand bag or on the loop of a pant.
Longer rectangular scarves are good for wearing as a belt, as a head tie or losely around your neck-
Here are a few ways I have styled them:
*As a belt
Had a little tea outing yesterday at a horse farm/garden center, absolutely beautiful. It’s a plant shop, there are stables and they also give riding lessons to kids.
It was my first time there, such a wonderful surprise. The setting was perfect, with lush greenery, lots of flowering plants and fruit trees, the horses were accessible, only reason I didn’t get real up and personal with them was because of the rain that left the ground muddy.. and well i didnt have the right shoe 🙂
It has been over the years, well-kept by owners who absolutely love what they do, and it shows.
I have had this little orange lace dress for a while now, never managed to have the opportunity to wear it. For tea i feel light and airy, lace and florals are appropriate. With my shorter dresses I prefer wearing flat shoes. The only thing I had handy, were these yellow strappy sandals. Seeing that it was becoming colorful I decided to use my green handbag.
Shoe: Old Navy
Clustered Pearl Earring: Dillard’s
I was soo happy when I found this jumpsuit. It’s exactly what I had in mind, for my personal style and my body type.
It’s long so good for my height.
It has no set waist band- so there’s no worry about it not sitting right.
It’s sleeveless, so I can have fun with it.
The v-neck is very flattering.
The fabric and style allow me to take it from casual to dressed up.I can wear it with flat slippers or with dressy strappy shoes. A definite for my next travel capsule wardrobe.
Hello everyone ..
One of my new favorite pants are these green mid wasted sashed pants.
They are flattering on almost all body types- because of the mid-waist. It smooths out your lower body, removing any waist band cutting, that usually occurs around the waist/hip area, creating bulging. Its also a great to not have to worry about bending over to pick things up etc. risking exposure. ha!
I have done 2 looks here- one with a great splash of red and the other without. I think that red goes with everything- Notice how it brightens up my face?
This outfit has gone from casual to stylish with just the one addition. Have fun fashionistas!
Top: Body suit-material girl- from the proud peacock tt
I have compiled a small list of the shoes that can pretty much go with anything, and serve most purposes. This list is for someone who works, goes out on evenings and does a little bit of walking either shopping of holiday-ing.
For evening wear, these color shoes will go with everything-
- Silver (Pair with silver accessories)
- Gold (Pair with gold accessories)
- Comfortable sandals
- Flat strappy black
- And off-course an espadrille ( i am a huge fan of these) they are light weight and so comfortable.
Cocktail party’s are very interesting 1- because you never know who you’re going to meet and 2- because you can have so much fun with your outfit.
The general guidelines are:
Keep it classy: avoid distressed looks, like torn jeans etc.
Do: Tailored clothing- like trousers, pencil skirts, cocktail length dresses- usually knee length and jumpers.
Here are some looks: Most of these are versatile pieces that you can have fun with and create many looks from:
A tailored, well fitting, black short pant, is a wardrobe must-have.
It is versatile and timeless.
It is a useful #travel piece. With different tops, and layering pieces, you can create multiple looks.
Why choose a tailored LBS?
A tailored pair can go from casual, to sporty, to glam, whereas, if we chose a casual one- you can only get one look from it- which is very casual. These we can wear on a city day tour- to a glam night out partying.
I have created just 3 looks from this pant, however there are dozens more can be created. Enjoy 🙂
Have you tried -high wasted pull up pants yet?
Since getting them, I’ve been wearing them instead of my usual go-to jeans. What a relief to finally have a great 2nd option.
They are very versatile. They are easy to wear, great fabric and very flattering.
They are good on all body types – but especially good for hip minimizing. If you are pear-shaped like I am.
Because it’s a loose pant
DO: pair it with more closely fitting tops.
Here I have paired it with one of my wardrobe essentials – my chambray shirt!
Shoes: Banana Republic
Black sunglasses: RalphLauren
Clear sunglasses: Michael Kors
